Working with the wonderful Nigel and Anne Worth of Sarabande Kennel in the UK, we were able to import frozen semen from their lovely boy Storm to be used on our Wyld girl Quinn. Always a gamble with Artificial Insemenations, we feel fortunate to now be able to add new blood lines to our program, two lively puppies, and two new friends to our lives.
These 2 had a bit of a rough start when Quinn underwent an emergency C-section. Bogie was stuck high up in the birth canal and Bacall's heartbeat was weak. Our fear was that we would lose them both. Because of the dedication and hard work of the night staff at Four Seasons Veterinary Specialist, we now have a lovely pair of Welsh babies. What we find fascinating is not only the size difference of the 2…Bogie is twice the size of Bacall…but also the color difference. It will be fun to watch the changes as they grow.

Four weeks now, and look how fast they are growing!! Boogie is a bruiser at over 5 pounds and Bacall, although smaller, is doing very well. The transition to puppy food is going well and we are introducing chew toys as their teeth are in. Lots of running and playing...carrying toys around...interacting with each other... AND THE FRECKLES ARE COMING IN!!! |

It was suggested to us that we take a picture once a week with the same toy or object, so that you can actually see how much the pups are growing. I see them every day, but it still amazes me!! Their teeth are coming in and we have started on baby food. Lots of toddling around, growling and barking. Personalities are beginning to show. What fun!! |
